Northerns Hockey

The Northerns Blues Hockey Association (or, as we call ourselves, just "Northerns") is responsible for the sport of field hockey primarily in the greater Tshwane area (Pretoria and surrounds), although we have clubs from as far afield as Rustenburg, Potchefstroom and the East Rand competing in our leagues.

In Northerns we play hockey from junior mini-hockey all the way up to masters level. We have "social" teams and highly competitive teams. Our provincial teams - from under 12 to senior - are regulars in the semi-finals or finals of interprovincial tournaments and we've had players and coaches on national teams for many, many years. Our umpires and officials feature very prominently on national and international stages all the way up to the World Cup and Olympic Games.
